Air Canada commande près d'une centaine de Boeing
NEW YORK (AP) - ACE Aviation, la société-mère d'Air Canada, a annoncé lundi une commande ferme au constructeur américain Boeing de 18 B777 et 14 B787 Dreamliner pour renouveler la flotte de la compagnie canadienne. Une option a été placée sur 18 B777 supplémentaires et 46 autres Dreamliners.
Le montant de la commande n'a pas été révélé.
Les trois premiers avions-cargo B777-300ER, doivent être livrés en 2006. Le premier B787, le nouvel appareil "super-économique" de Boeing, doit être livré en 2010. AP
Saudi Arabian picks ERJ-170 Apr 25Saudi Arabian Airlines will be signing an agreement on Wednesday in Riyadh for the purchase of 15 Embraer 170 aircraft. The airline is planning to use the new aircraft on domestic and regional routes.
Qantas increases Brisbane-LAX service Apr 25Qantas will increase the number of nonstop weekly flights between Brisbane and Los Angeles from 3 to 4 a week on July 18th. The airline will add a Monday service to its currently operated services on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. All flights are operated with a Boeing 747-400.
Panam announces a series of new routes Apr 25Pan Am will start scheduled service from Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Ohio, Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and Orlando Sanford International Airport, with connecting service available to San Juan and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on June 23rd. The airline will add nonstop service from Stewart International Airport to Clearwater-St. Petersburg International Airport, and Orlando Sanford International Airport on June 30th. All flights will be operated with Boeing 727-200s.

Air Sahara has leased, and taken delivery of, a used Boeing 737-400s
for 3 years.
Air Sahara has leased 2 new Boeing 737-800s for 8 years. They are
scheduled to be delivered in January and February 2006 and are in
addition to 2 other 737-800s on lease.
Excel Airways has leased 2 new Boeing 737-800s for 8 years. They are
scheduled to be delivered in May 2006.
KLM has leased 2 new Airbus A330-200s for 6 years. The aircraft are
scheduled to be delivered in February and March 2007.
KLM has leased 2 new Boeing 777-200ERs for 6 years. The aircraft are
scheduled to be delivered in May 2006 and March 2007.
Royal Jordanian has leased 2 new Airbus A321-200s for 6 years. They
are scheduled to be delivered in April and May 2006.
Etihad to start Frankfurt
service Apr 15
Etihad Airways will inaugurate nonstop service from Abu Dhabi to
Frankfurt on June 1st. The airline will operate a daily service and
this will be the only nonstop flight operated by any airline. Etihad
wants to add further destinations to its network this year and is
considering Brussels, Johannesburg and Toronto.
